Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Avnel ("the Service"), a software product that generates personalised messages and QR codes for thermal receipt printers. By creating an account, subscribing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. The Service

Avnel is provided as a subscription-based software-as-a-service (SaaS). The Service includes a web dashboard, licensing and update checks, and a Windows application designed to run on your own hardware and work with your existing thermal printer.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to update it if it changes.

3. Subscriptions & Billing

Avnel is billed on a recurring basis (for example, monthly) via Stripe or another payment provider. By starting a subscription, you authorise recurring charges to your chosen payment method until you cancel.

Prices, taxes and billing intervals are shown clearly on the pricing page and in the checkout flow. Where legally required, VAT or other taxes may be added.

4. Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partially used periods unless required by applicable law.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use Avnel to send or print illegal, abusive or discriminatory content.
• Reverse engineer, attempt to bypass licensing or security, or resell the Service.
• Use Avnel in a way that could harm the Service, other users or third parties.

6. Data & Privacy

We process limited customer data (such as names and short message content) only to provide the Service. We do not use your customers' personal data for advertising or sell it to third parties. For more details, please read our Privacy Policy.

7. Availability & Changes

We aim to keep Avnel available and stable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update or modify the Service over time, including adding or removing features.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you seriously or repeatedly violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that creates risk or legal exposure for us. If this happens, we will try to notify you where reasonable.

9. Disclaimer & Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties and will not be liable for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability in connection with the Service will not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 3 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the Service or by email where possible. Continued use of Avnel after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
